Why Us… Why Now?

Why Us… Why Now?

New Wine In New Wineskins

1 Chronicles 12:32 speaks of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command.

We believe here at Calvary Chapel of Rochester that God has moved us to reopen our school. Due to reasons beyond our control we had to unfortunately close it a few years ago, however it seems imperative to us we reopen as our situation here has changed. Our culture has also changed. We believe for the worse. It has moved farther away from our God and His plan for believers on how children should be raised. As we attempt to teach our children a biblical worldview, there is an undermining of this happening to our children as they attend public schools. Here are just a few examples of why us, and why now:

Gender Confusion

Generation Z believes gender is a choice determined by self and not defined by God at birth.

Sex Indoctrination

-Social influencers have internet access to children at ages inappropriate for this topic.

-Public schools have taken it upon themselves to become the authority in this area thereby disregarding what parents or even God has to say.

Critical Race Theory

Promotes intolerance, segregation, based on social Marxism ideals from the Frankfurt school (a school started by Carl Grunberg in 1923, a Marxist law professor dealing with the practical problems of implementing socialism into a culture rather than a government. Hence any ideology labeled “critical” came from the “critical theory” birthed from this self-defined socialist university).

Common Core

Common Core standards This “10 year experiment” on our children has proven to be ineffective in establishing consistent educational standards and has had detrimental effects across the public school system in the United States.

God Out /Humanism In

Schools support Humanism and have removed God from the classroom in every subject.

Parents Responsible for Teaching/Raising Their Children

Parents may seek help with teaching their children but desire it to be done in a way with which they can have a say in their child’s education. Many public schools act as if they know what is best for your children and won’t listen to any reasoning as they deem themselves the “experts”.

“Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them;
for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 19:14
