To ensure the safety and security of all students, faculty and staff, BOLA has taken extreme measures to fulfill this task. During school hours there will be at least 1 Security Guard present on the property to perform a continual observation of the premises to make sure both our interior and exterior is free from any unsafe situation that may exist. BOLA has invested in extensive training of these individuals and all have been certified as Security personnel by the State of New York. Included in our security plan are several surveillance cameras both in the interior and exterior of the building including classrooms and monitoring systems with recording abilities to assist security personnel in their constant overall observation of the building and safety of our students.
Children will be monitored while entering and exiting the building on a daily basis to ensure their safety and security while in the care of the school. Security personnel as well as all faculty and staff will be trained in safety procedures prior to the beginning of each fall semester. This training will include first aid, lockdowns, evacuations, fire drills, bomb threats and suspicious packages or individuals. All teachers and staff will be made aware of all security and safety matters regarding the overall security plan.
It is the goal of BOLA to provide a safe and secure atmosphere in our school to ensure peace of mind for parents/guardians and a safe and secure environment conducive to learning for our students.
